Success in Sports Depends on Sight
Whether you are driving a golf ball down the green, throwing for a 3-pointer, or serving up an ace on the tennis court, you will need one key piece of equipment—your eyes.
Sight is an important part of sport. Your visual system helps keep you balanced, allows you to track a ball up and down the field or court, and lets you see approaching competition in your peripheral vision.
If your sight is not up to par, your golf swing won’t be either. From elite athletes and future Olympians to hobbyists with a desire to improve, the team at Avenue Optometry & Vision Therapy is here to serve you.

What Is Sports Vision Training?
Sports Vision Training is a customized vision therapy program personalized just for you, to help you achieve your athletic goals. It is a series of exercises and activities designed to strengthen your visual system and improve your visual skills and visual processing.
Think of sports vision training as an extension of your workout routine. You work hard to train your body—your eyes need training too, and that is where we come in.
During your initial consultation, we will take the time to get to know you and learn about your athletic journey so far. We will thoroughly assess your eye health and your visual skills and then tailor a program for you based on your individual needs.
Who Can Benefit from Sports Vision Training?
Athletes of all ages can benefit from the customized sports vision training program at Avenue Optometry & Vision Therapy. Perhaps you are a young athlete who hopes to win a college soccer scholarship. Or maybe you are an elite hockey player looking for a competitive advantage.
